concept:
The name Mediterranean Triad was born from a concept that includes design inspiration terrain, sustainability through agriculture, food | hospitality in order to create a new one a precedent for Starigrad and a destination with longevity, integrity and purpose.
The concept is further developed through the expression of typologies of hilly, dry terrain placing drywall on the field. The next main feature of the location is the landscape which embraces the entire location and access to the sea as a great potential. The role of landscapes in spatial condition of reduced urbanism in which rural culture predominates, as and the meaning of time, form the main aspects that determine the synthesis and become tools in redefinition of the tourist complex. A project related to landscape, landscape is reformed and re-introduces meaning. The object refers to the earth, it becomes unity with her. Its relationship with the soil and the landscape becomes complementary. The soil itself becomes a matter of design and is characterized by cascading porosity.
Drywall establishes a "field of meaning" around itself. He incorporates time into space, while
at the same time they form landscapes in an almost natural way.
Project description:
The goal was to use as many natural building materials as possible, including local ones stone from the site. The roofs of the rooms are designed as green roofs that serve to save energy consumption | they become extensions of the landscape in the form of raised terraces
on which you can plant and walk. Structures representing residential units
were the inspiration and starting point for the composition of the terraced cascades in the north part of the location. The premises are rectangular in shape, surrounded by a closed courtyard and with a planted roof.
The public spaces present a camp, a commercial center and a hotel. The camp is located next to the boundaries of the site, in the north and represent the uSuScani area of Starigrad in the frame nature | greenery. In addition to the tourist accommodation, the hotel has a lobby, restaurant, and library for workshops, spa center with outdoor swimming pool. Next to the main road, behind there is also a parking lot for hotel guests and temporary visitors. Everyone's idea segments is to follow the initial concept in the form of terraces and digging into the terrain. Roofs have a role in self-sustainability | cultivation of agriculture. They follow the tourist complex apartments | villas located close to the sea and the beach, and the situation itself is framed by the marina with restaurants and cafes for the purpose of access from the sea. Accent terraced of designing is a view | a feeling of seclusion with the landscape and surroundings.
