Project idea

“A smart building block merged with eco-terraces, acting as a viewpoint for the users to interact with the surrounding environment”.

Project description

We’re given to design 4 storey apartments (21 in total) in zone 1 of the overall master plan. Through multiple iterations and comprehensive studies (etc), we formulated multiple design ideas mainly absorbing the viewport layouts, but chose to implement a smart space which not only takes the advantage of views but also work as ‘hidden’ vertical garden/s, encompassing the natural context of the given locality which makes the building part of the existing
environment.

Our building provides the users with an environment that should be a basic
necessity for every other apartment space/s in today’s plain field – smart
functions, added technologies (both passive and active) and viewpoints for the users to absorb and ‘breathe’ in the environment.

Technical information

*4000 hectares of hempcrete was being produced in the fields of Croatia (as of 2019)
*The flower of hemp plant is used to produce oil (CBD) while the stem of a hemp plant goes to waste, which can be usable for making sustainable building materials.
- E-Glass:
*An insulation material that filters heat out of sunlight and allows the light to pass through.
