As this project is in coordination with the rest of the zones that have been made by other members of our class, it developed according to the main concept of design, which is a heart and veins throughout the project. The central area (zone 5) is the heart of the design, and the coastal zone demonstrates the concept of veins floating into the heart. Important ideas that was created in this project is integrating aquaculture and architecture specially for elder people to utilize the atmospheric condition of a coastal zone
The project will utilize the natural resources of the coastal area to create an environment that is sustainable and enjoyable for visitors. Hence, in order to achieve our goal, through fish farming and aquaculture facilities, it would provide a source of food for the local community and also create a fresh educational experience for visitors. Additionally, walking pathways, shading elements, seating areas, and ramps are constructed in order to make them comfortable and accessible for older visitors. Overall, the aim is to create a unique and harmonious blend of ecology and architecture that supports the local community as well as attracts visitors while preserving the natural environment.
The design will make use of mesh-type pillars made of wood to create shading for walkable pathways, and the mesh material used will be UV-stabilized polyethylene. The irrigation system is designed to conserve water and use sustainable methods. The aquaculture facility will be located in the sea and will include fish farming and shellfish cultivation, The facility will be designed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly, using techniques such as recirculating aquaculture systems, to minimize water usage and discharge, and will also include measures to minimize the impact on the local marine ecosystem.
