Project idea

This project is inspired by the traditional custom of "floating wine cups along the winding water".”It plans a series of continuous waterfront architectural complex on the Sanyang Wetland.

Project description

The project discusses the planning and current situation of the Sanyang Wetland. In order to better combine the local culture and tourist experience and the dual viewing characteristic of the site’s waterways, the project proposes a series of continuous waterfront buildings based on the concept of “floating wine cups along the winding water”. In terms of spatial forms, the current situation and needs of the crowd are decomposed and extracted, and the design focus is determined - a structural flowing viewing space with the main purpose of reducing the sense of volume of the building, and four architectural forms are extracted in combination for spatial evolution.
