Project idea

Konstrukce, která navazuje na stávající chodník, pomyslně ho vyzdvihuje a tím umožňuje nahlédnout na budoucí
staveniště projektu SMÍCHOV CITY.
Konstrukce je doplněna o objekt s informační funkcí a hygienickým zázemím. Objekt je situován u hlavního dopravního uzlu pro pěší a odkazuje použitým materiálem fasády na vzdálenější vyhlídku.

A structure which follows a sidewalk, lift the sidewalk thoughtfully so it allows view for the future site of the project of Smíchov city in Prague. The view has a second part which is an object with information function and a public toilet. The object is situated by the main cross of pedestrian traffic and refers to the view by used material.

Project description

Konstrukce se nachází na vyvýšené straně budoucího staveniště projektu Smíchov city v Praze. Účelem vyhlídky je informovat návštěvníky a obyvatele této části Prahy o průběhu výstavby a poskytnout jim dostatečný rozhled na toto staveniště. Umístěný vyhlídky je vybráno s ohledem na prostorový průběh výstavby.
Vyhlídka má tvar čtyř se protínajících vyboulených parabolických ploch a tvoří tak dva rozšiřující se oblouky. Oko vyhlídky je vytvořeno zrcadlením dané plochy. Šířka vyhlídky navazuje na stávající chodník a neumožňuje tak jinou cestu pro peší, tudíž budou informováni i ti, kteří o to nestojí. Výška vyhlídky má za účel poskytnout výhled přes oplocení a zeleň a zároveň poutat pozornost lidí na protější straně staveniště. Povrch konstrukce je tvořen rezavými ocelovými pláty a slouží jako odkaz na průmyslovou zástavbu části města, která bude po výstavbě změněna. Vyhlídka je zastřešena na délku oka a slouží jako ochrana proti klimatickým podmínkám, zároveň celou konstrukci ztužuje v příčném směru a soustřeďuje divákův pohled na výhled z oka.

Construction is situated at the raised side of the future site of the project of Smíchov city in Prague. The function of this view is to inform visitors and occupants of these part of the city about a building process and provide a view on these site. The view is situated with regard to the spatial plan of the building process.
The view is designed as four intersecting bulging parabolic surfaces. There are create two dilative curves. An eye of view is designed by mirroring the surface. Wide of the view follows the sidewalk so it does not allow another way to go so people will be involved in these project even if they don´t care. A high of view has a function to see over fence and trees and at the same time attract the attention of people on the other side of the site. The facade of the view is from rusty metal slabs and there are used as a memory of industry development these part of Prague. The view is roofed by the length of the eye and is used as protection against climatic conditions and at the same time stiffening construction by the diagonal way and focusing the view of the visitor only at the eye.

Technical information

Výška vyhlídky je 4 metry a délka 54 metrů. Nejužší část má šířku 2,5m a rozšiřuje se až na 5m. Světlá výška uvnitř konstrukce je 3,2m. Celková výška je 7,5m. Konstrukce je tvořena dvěma deskami o tloušce 0,3m. Deska se skládá ze dvou zahnutých svařovaných nosníků, které jsou součástí příhradové konstrukce. Mezi tyto desky je navařeno schodiště z děrovaného plechu.


The high of view is 4 metres and the length is 54 metres. The narrowest part has a wide 2.5 metres and is extended to 5 metres. Headroom is 3.2 metres. Total high of construction is 7.5 metres. The structure is created by two panels with a thickness of 0.3 metres. The panel is designed from two curved welded metal beams which are part of the truss structure. Between these two panels are welded a staircase from a perforated metal sheet.
