Project idea

The main idea of ​​the project is the concept of consolidation of the urban development of the historical center of Rostov-on-Don by a socially significant function by analyzing and identifying the spatial reserves of urban development.

Project description

The objective of this work is to identify the fundamental principles for the prospective development of the historic center of Rostov-on-Don, identify spatial reserves in the structure of urban fabric and formulate principles for restructuring and reconstructing urban fabric in the context of modern urban development.
A project has been developed for the development of urban tissue through the process of compacting quarterly structures by filling vacuum spaces (spatial reserves) with various urban functions developed taking into account the spatial development of the city and creating a functional balance in quarters.
