Project idea

-The design idea comes from studying the
biological system of a sea sponge animal.
-Sponges feed on water via stressing food
particles. When water penetrates a sponge, little
organisms like bacteria and protists are present.
Inside the central chamber, neck cells catch and
digest these food particles. Sponges can remove
food particles from the water extremely efficiently.
-Ostia is a gate that enables water to enter the
sponge body and acts as valves to regulate
water flows into the spongokol, the water then
flow as a current and exit from an upper hole in its
body.

Project description

The goal of the project is to design a shading facility based on the biomimicry design approach.
