The project of the children's art school in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The purpose of this work is to develop a conceptual and functional solution of the art school. The concept is based on the idea of the flow of forms and their concentration in the center. The defining word is conciseness.
The design site is located in Yekaterinburg on the territory of the existing estate development at the intersection of Tsiolkovsky and Serov streets. This area has been actively built up recently, and therefore there is a necessity to create a children's leisure center.
The projected building is intended for teaching students, holding events, it concentrates mainly educational and cultural functions.
The building is a composition of blocks of different shapes, each of which has a specific function; the main block of the concert hall is the largest and dominates the other blocks at a height; the educational block is distinguished by an elongated shape that wraps around the imaginary center, an administrative and household building with the main entrance has the simplest and most stable form.
The structure of the building is made of monolithic and precast reinforced concrete.
Hall part consists of one span with a width of 13 m . Rectangular trusses with a step of 6 m are laid on the load-bearing walls, along which the coating plates and roofing pie are laid.
The blocks are allocated with different materials: the hall block is covered with fiber cement panels, the academic building with copper sheets, the central part is made of concrete slabs.
