In this village, which is designed for young people, the harmony of the past and the future in each other has been sought. The youth village located in Ankara, Turkey, has a 'tent' system, which is one of the important elements of Turkish architecture. Tent. it protects people physically from environmental factors. This, in turn, provides people with both comfort and confidence. In order for the young people who came to the camp, education or vacation while separated from their families to feel safe and comfortable, the masses in the project were gathered under the shell in the form of a single tent.
The project consists of a restaurant, accommodation units, lobby, service units, open-air theater, pool and snack bar, workshops and a winery where wine production can be carried out. When positioning the masses, the climate of Ankara and the Kızılırmak river were taken into account.
Winter temperatures are low in Ankara, and summer is hot. It is for this reason that the masses are protected by a tent. the designed tent-shaped shell protects people from environmental factors in summer and winter.
The masses are positioned in such a way as to give the Kızılırmak river the maximum view point, and it is aimed to see the river and public areas from all windows.
Since the recreation areas are located right in the center, the youth village will be kept alive day and night. at the same time, the pool consists of the water of the Kizilirmak river. thanks to this, there is no need for October additional water consumption, and this allows you to use sailboats and kayaks in the pool.
The difference in elevation in the area was evaluated with an open-air theater and an amphitheater located in the lobby, as well as seating areas.
The design area accepts the entry of vehicles only in case of emergency. recreation areas, except for emergency situations, belong entirely to pedestrian use.
The Youth Village can accommodate 118 people at the same time, but the restaurant is open to all guests who come to use it.
The masses were transported by reinforced concrete system. The thickness of the rake foundation is 50 cm. In the form of a tent, the shell is transported by Decoupling the scissors located between the steel bars and anchoring them to a reinforced concrete foundation within a radius of 50 cm at a height of 1 meter above the ground. Steel rods are anchored to the ground in a total of 4 places. In 1 place, it is anchored to the V-shaped steel columns. The triangles used in the shell are covered with wooden pergola, solid wood, green roof, and double-walled glass. This distinction was made according to the function under the tent.
