"Grotto" Student Club
Project idea
We would like to present the interior design project for "Grotto" Student Club of Obninsk Nuclear Energy Insitute. We have developed the concept based on the special character of the Insitute itself, creating the image of a sciense laboratory penetrated with a sun ray. The space is minimalistic and neutral in its basis and students are free to fill it with their creative spirit.
Project description
The brief comprised of complete renovation for the 3 stores building of the student club adjacent to student residence. We had to provide space for student theatre audience hall with all the backstage, a number of student clubs, two dance halls with amenities and audio recording room, to create a transforming meeting room, to restore the cafe function and to support all activities with enough storage.
Technical information
The concept directed the choise of materials: concrete and microcemento, glass blocks and steel in details. The fit-out is durable and easy in maintenance. Special technical materials were used to meet the requirements of audio recording studio and dance halls.
