The project of the Multifunctional Cultural Center in the Głogoczów Village Center was created in line with the local identity of the region. Man and his perception are the most important in the project, which is why the building is connected with nature and the surroundings.
Głogoczów is a village divided by a highway, the facility is to become a socio-cultural center connecting residents, in which cultivating and developing the tradition of the region would be part of the development of society. The cultural offer is to be addressed to all inhabitants of the village.
The building has a rectangular plan with a clean layout with the possibility of any arrangement of space. The multi-functionality of the facility responds to the needs of the residents. In line with universal design, the building is available to everyone, and the possibility of any space arrangement means that the facility can perform many functions depending on the needs of different users.
The façade is covered with larch wood boarding, thanks to which the building resembles the wooden barns typical of the region. Large glazing with varying degrees of translucency open up to the surroundings and invite you to the facility. The tinted glass in the part of the building
intended for children refers to the traditional colorful home flower gardens.
The building is connected with the surroundings and becomes its integral part by nurturing the past.
The simple solid of the building is crowned with a dynamic roof with various angles of inclination. The visible structure made of CLT wood is a diversification of the form. The traditional wooden structure has been transformed thanks to modern technology. In line with sustainable development, low-carbon and renewable materials have been selected.
The architecture refers to the construction tradition of the region, using wood as a building material and a sloping roof.
