The idea of the project is based on the exploitation of Civets Coffee production originating from Indonesia which involved animal abuse, production of counterfeit products and food chain disruption. The project aims to provide education and awareness on proper sourcing of coffee resourcing and production and information on sustainable consumption and living.
The project consists of a coffee shop concept providing hands-on workshops for customers to create a holistic coffee-making experience. Part of the project is a farm-to-table restaurant with an indoor hydroponic system and rooftop urban farming for a sustainable, self-sufficient restaurant concept.
The construction of the interior is made of a majority of concrete raw materials to define the roughness of an industrial design which goes well together with natural elements in the space and is sustainable as well.
