Project idea

The project idea is completely derived from the group work where we have set rules to develop Birkenhead city through sustainable manner such as "restitch, reconnect, reimagine", as the city dint have much to offer back which leads to floating population where people tend to enjoy their leisure time in their neighboring cities which helps to form a Community sports center reflecting the site conditions and the city background.

Project description

With the help of the community aspects where the city drives a long cycle route which also flows through the edge of the site along the tower road. Cycle route being one of the important function in the project and developing the other aspects around it such as the outdoor and indoor playing courts which is placed along the edge of the site forming a solid void combination which leads to indoor and outdoor sports. With the cycle route passing through each block giving them a visual appearance of indoor outdoor and the view towards the waterbody which creates a memorable journey to see thought out the project. On the other side of the cycle route will be utilized for parkour space activates like wall climbing rope climbing which continues vertically till the roof top which give the parkours a sense of reaching the goal which ends with a beautiful view of the city. Spaces like restaurant, café, sports bar, zip line, observation tower and a skating zone along with the outdoor activities keeps the spaces lively at late evenings.

Technical information

Started with a concept of using Biomimicry which represents the activates proposed in the projects, the best I could relate was mountains which goes well with the ideology of the project as you can see.
With pile foundation was the best as it had loose soil with holds the huge concrete fins on the either ends each concrete fins are connected with a primary beams along with secondary beams which helps in stabilizing the whole block.
