Twelve Myths & One Cohision to the Future

Project idea

My intention is to create a design that would allow the Lebanese to rebuild their national unity, and transform this traumatic explosion site into a place that would soothe and inspire the people while forming a special economic zone, beaconing the country to revive itself. To reconstruct national unity, it is important to evoke a sense of national pride among the Lebanese of the same blood through its culture and history, which are foundations and roots of the country.

Project description

The explosion worsened religious relations and brought its politics, economy and livelihoods to the brink of collapse. What’s worse, it left people with psychological trauma, with massive demonstrations in many parts of the country, accusing the government of inaction. Political parties disagreed with and slandered each other, and shirked responsibility, causing the nation to fall apart and the sense of national unity to be lost.

Technical information

Four main bronze sea water intakes with valve and filter: two for general utilities and one for each main engine.
Firefighting,air conditioning and generators cooling system electric pumps are connected to the two sea water intakes for general utilities.
