Creating a supportive environment inside the courtyard area
The main concept is to divide the courtyard into two parts, where the dividing line will be a walking trail. The division will be into an activity area where children and adults can have fun, and a quiet area where parents can walk with small children away from the noise. Because of elevation difference it was decided to replace the stair structures with ramps with a hanging walking trail that runs through the entire courtyard. This will allow people with disabilities to move freely throughout the territory. Pergolas are placed in the center of the main pedestrian transit to protect from direct sunlight. Parking spaces and recreation areas will be located on the site of private unauthorized buildings. In order to make the courtyard more alive, it was decided to use the free space for green areas.
The constructions is made from wood and ecological materials.
