Project idea

I love nature and reading, so my goal was to make building where you can read and feel like in nature but still be sheltered form weather/noises from outside. And from my experience there arent many places where people can sit down and just relax play games, most of these places are cafe and others shops.

Project description

My first project as a student of architecture. Project was simple reading room/pavilion. But because in location where were we supposed to set our project arent any squares or any other place to meet i wanted to make a place where people of all ages can meet not just for reading but for interacting like playing board games, hanging out etc.

Technical information

I used mostly natural resources like wood from neaby forests, but for the roof, there needed to be some steel structure to hold it. Windows are oriented to south (Iam from Czech republic) so building can have lot of sun heating in winter. In summer most of sun rays are blocked by overhanging roof and absorbed by green roof.
