Project idea

The main idea behind this project was to make sure that people feel interested in coming to library. The goal was to create inviting spaces outdoors that were welcoming for the people and at the same time ensuring proper reading spaces inside of the library.

Project description

This is a rethinking project of the already existing divisional library situated in Zindabazar, Sylhet. Zindabazar is a very busy area during the day, and the library should provide service to people of different age group, class, background and profession. Occupancy of the library is 400 seats in the reading zones located in not more than four stories and a collection of not less than 80,000 books.

Technical information

The project had to be designed in pure post and lintel structural system.
