Project description

The recent Covid-19 has impacted our work and living culture. The vertical urban sprawl challenges revolves physical use of space as well as urban dwellers’ psychological wellbeing. The reimagining high-rise mixed-use building address the exploration of flexible layout in ensuring health, safety and occupants’ wellbeing. Bereavement, isolation, loss of income and fear are triggering mental health conditions or exacerbating existing ones. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but they can make us feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. One of the most effective ways to counter pandemic-related stress is to stay physically active. The idea is to create a design which celebrates open spaces which allows outdoor physical activities integrated within the building by creating more open and green spaces on tower & allow public and tenants to circulate around the building.

Technical information

Open balcony design will make fresh air and green elements more accessible, creating a more fluid indoor and outdoor environment that can significantly improve the quality of life at work. In the autumn and winter, these open balconies can reduce air conditioning usage, saving energy and costs while creating a positive effect on the urban climate. Employees are able to flow through the office environment, from the main entrance to their work station, without touching any buttons or handles. This “sanitary corridor” has been carefully designed with health-related safety measures such as discreet temperature testing and UV disinfection. Operated by LED sensors or mobile phone applications, contactless technology will allow employees to pass directly from the elevator to their desks. Future workplaces will not only support the economic needs of companies but also the mental and physical needs of employees. Mindplace will allow workers to use their time more flexibly to increase productivity, making numerous on-site amenities available.Greenery in and around the workplace improves both the indoor and outdoor microclimate and has a positive effect on the physical health and wellbeing of employees and visitors.
