Housing is a fundamental urban issue faced by most global cities and
the quantity and quality of this residential strata, greatly shapes a city’s
growth and sustainability. Dwelling units constitute the predominant built-form in our communities. Whether standalone or in clusters, they reflect the need and aspirations of individuals, families and communities.
The design of HOUSING determines the way in which we organize and use
our living environments, interface with nature, consume limited resources,
choose to relate to our neighbors, and generate better social outcomes.
The intention of the project was to adhere to the needs of the time.
The site was situated in Dubai in a hot arid climate. The scope of the project was to create a living community with four main objectives: architectural character, health and well-being, climate response, and social considerations.
