Project idea

The concept of this project is Assimilation of Cognitive & Psychosocial domain for Neuroplasticity on a thematic appearance of A journey by raft to knowledge.

Here, I proposed a new schema for assimilating in library where spaces are Categorized by Cognitive and psychosocial domain.

In cognitive domain, here is implemented Vygotsky Theory ( society, culture) and Piaget’s Theory ( Age).

In psychosocial domain, here is implemented Erickson’s Theory (Age, society).

Project description

This community library is designed specifically for using of people in and around Old Dhaka, along the Buriganga River in Bangladesh. The people of old Dhaka are surrounded by tradition and culture.

Impressions of the Mughal Empire of Indian subcontinent still exist in old Dhaka. The common features of old Dhaka slightly appeared in this project for merging people in there surrounding environment like Mughal architectural appearance, communication, walking way etc.

Different places have been specially designed for everyone from children to the elderly based on their psychological aspects. Attached here are the innovative methods of using system of the library which will encourage people to come to the library more and improve their knowledge based values.

Technical information

Here, I used CEB ( Compressed Earth Block ) for exterior façade that is so eco-friendly and fetching a Mughal appearance.

Also, here I used one of my innovated eco cooler which is designed by using the law of joule thomson effect that is create a nozzle effect for cooling air molecules.
