Project idea

The idea of the project is to create the maximum barrier-free environment for people with disabilities and reconstruct the most important areas for the city.

Project description

In order to find the problem areas and better analyze the city, we went on an excursion to the city of Saki. Having visited the city, we managed to decide on the choice of our priority objects, as well as identify other problems of the city. The main problem is roads that need reconstruction, both the roadway and pedestrian roads. For the movement of wheelchair users, different types of paving slabs are not suitable, since they have gaps between them which, as a rule, make movement difficult. Evpatoria highway crosses the city and makes a through passage to Evpatoria. For trucks, a bypass highway must be carried out, as traffic jams are often formed on the Evpatoria highway.
We had a short interview with locals - wheelchair users. As a result, we managed tofind out that they like to play chess. In hot periods of time in wheelchairs they are very hot, so you should think of some kind of installation for cooling the air. They also lack green parks. At the moment, many roads have not yet been reconstructed, so it is very difficult for them to drive on uneven road surfaces. However, they believe that Saki even now is very convenient and accessible for people with disabilities.

Technical information

The project addresses the problem of movement of people with limeted mobility in the city of Saki. For the priority reconstruction 3 territories were chosen.

1. Tobe-Chokrak

In the city of Saki there is no equipped place for taking mud baths. Tourists wishing to visit the mud lake, mostly come to the territory, which is located near the sanatorium Burdenko. There is an approachto it, but the territory is not landscaped, therefore, in order to wash off the remnants of dirt, people have to bring water with them. Many other places are not improved and overgrown with reeds. This territory is chosen because it has a central location and is accessible to both tourists and locals. Not far from the territory there is a residential building, which means that there is an opportunity to drain the territory and to equip with shower cabins, toilets, etc.A wooden bridge has been designed in this area, which will allow tourists, local residents, including those

with limited mobility, to provide access to the Tobe-Chokrak mud lake. Dressing rooms, showers, toilets and catering facilities are also planned. This territory is highlighted as an object of priority study, as the beach zone should be organized in each resort and tourist town.

2. Bus station
Simferopol highway is one of the most well-groomed streets of the city. The place where any tourist arriving in the city falls is the bus station. In our opinion at the moment, due to the lack of landing platforms and markings, the search for the desired transport is somewhat difficult. Also very often on site. Bus stations are driven by cars, for example, taxis, it turns out that pedestrian and traffic flows are intermingled. This area is chosen because transport service is very important for any city. Proper organization of the territory will help attract tourists to the city of Saki

Any tourist entering the city of Saki passes this place. At the moment, it is in no way ennobled, which is why this place was chosen by us as the object of priority development. This area will become one of the small recreational zones that the disabled people of Saki need so much. It will be equipped with various small architectural forms available for people with disabilities, as well as elements of improvement, emphasizing the image of the city of Saki. In this area, also designed dry fountains that will allow the territory to "breathe" and cool the air. In hot periods, people sitting in a wheelchair are especially hot, so you should organize as many fountains in the city as possible.
