Project idea

The work is a proposal for the renovation of the quarter in the city center. Getting rid of the chaotic, dilapidated buildings, as well as building instead of new housing with commercial premises, will increase the population density in a favorable residential area.

Project description

The proposed development model forms a new comfortable urban environment, which at the same time does not discord with the architectural monuments of Krasnodar. This is achieved through a complex of urban planning and architectural solutions, which involve the creation of a quarter with high building density, sustainable pedestrian connections, social facilities and green areas, which generally form the ecological framework of the city. The urban planning concept consists in a gradual increase in the number of floors, proceeding from a valuable town-forming facility - a two-storey residential building from the beginning of the 19th century - to 14-storey residential buildings, which will create a peculiar backdrop for the protected architectural monument. This solution allows to significantly increase the density of the housing stock, compared to the existing one, and in addition, the perimeter building forms closed courtyards for residents and public gardens (communicative and recreational space).
    The first floors of residential buildings are designed for commerce, below, under the entire area of ​​the building, parking is supposed to serve both the quarter under consideration and the adjacent territory, which will free the courtyard from the cars and partially solve the problem of lack of parking spaces in the central area .
     This concept allows not only rational use of the economic potential of the territory located in the city center, but also to preserve the existing valuable historical buildings, to interact organically with it, without disturbing the appearance of the city.
