Project idea

Reviving Lost lands is an attempt to look into the severe issue of land degradation across the globe.

Project description

The project identifies 'Banni grasslands' as its pilot for land regeneration. The project acts in two entities on centralized and other decentralized. The centralized part acts as the center to educate and train people to work in the field of regeneration and make livelihood out of it. Mainly the regions with high percentage of land degradation face acute resource shortage ( water, electricity, food etc.) accelerated due to human activities, thus it becomes very important to harvest these energies and reuse the waste in whatever form possible. The centralized center works on this principle on minimizing energy dependency. The decentralized systems are the ones which are deployed all the region which help in harvesting the energy required for land regeneration.

Technical information

The project is imagined with a life to it. Once the purpose of the center is fulfilled i.e. the land regeneration in the region happens, the center can completely leave the site and move on to the next affected area. Thus considering this the structural elements of the project are conceived in a modular way helping reuse of the members later.
