Project idea

A restaurant & cafe is basically a public space that serves one of human needs, namely food. Although eating food here is the main goal, this activity is classified as a light activity that does not involve a lot of senses to focus, so it can be done multitasking, which involves other activities such as chatting with family, doing chores/office work, just chatting with friends or even enjoy solitude.

If it is correlated with its activities, then an activity has a tendency of atmosphere and pattern of each activity, namely by setting the boundaries.

In addition, this boundary issue has relevance to COVID-19. To be able to survive from a virus that is able to spread through interaction with other people, the solution presented at this time is basically in the form of setting boundaries. The limit can be in the form of the use of masks which are solid boundaries, or limits in the form of space, namely by doing social distancing, and other forms.

Project description

This building accommodates three main concepts, namely zoning, exploration, and interaction

ZONATION
Setting boundaries that zone activities between one another.
EXPLORATION
Exploration of the atmosphere of space (introvert - extrovert) that forms a plot with different experiences.
INTERACTION
synergy formed between humans, buildings, and nature.

So, The borders can be interpreted in differents way.

This restaurant uses the dominant material of brick so that
gives a strong character and blends with nature. Besides
In addition, brick is a local material that is low maintenance
and environmentally friendly. Bricks are good insulators
which dissipates heat slowly. In addition, the use of
This material is varied so as to form cavities as
air circulation.
