Project idea

The design is based on the flow of the human circulatory system. The way it is projected
is depending on what is its main purpose and objective to sustain the needs of each other. Same
with the facility concept, the flow of the users is based on their needs so the spaces are dependent
on its idea. It is arrange on how users is intended to use it, from its being modular to being
flexible in different times such as disaster and pandemic.

Daloy means flow which pertains on the spaces that will give the users a more calming
and peaceful ambiance inside the facility. As it is just not an enrichment facility but also will
serve as a community shelter during pandemic and disaster. The way the facility cater the users
is depending on how well the structure is designed.

The concept of daloy has also something to do with the natural ventilation of the facility
as the air coming from the north-east which is Amihan has a direct access towards the building as the north facing side of the facility uses ,modular louvers which can be open widely for the
airflow to circulate and decrease the heat inside.

Air has its egress towards south which is a more efficient way to accumulate more air
inside the facility.

Project description

As the province of Bulacan is well –known for its annual festival of “Singkaban” the
form concept of the facility is based on the physical attributes of a bamboo and how flexible a
bamboo is. Also as subjected to aesthetic factors, the decorated bamboo used in the festival is
reflected to promote Bulacan’s culture and tradition.

Objective:
1. To design a facility that will not just be a evacuation center but also an income and job
generating one
2. To have a minimal impact on the surroundings from construction to operational
3. To satisfy the idea of sustainability
4. To design a facility that is easy to be replicated to other areas
