Development of the public space embankment of the town Tver

Project idea

Within the boundaries of the studied territory there are: embankment, square, Assumption Cathedral, River Station (floors and part of the southern wall of the building was collapsed in August 2017, today the object requires serious repair and restoration works).
The embankment and the adjacent square are a degrading territories without recreation zones, organized pedestrian zones and a coastline with descents to the water.

Project description

On the territory of the station from the side of the river, it is proposed to restore 3-level terraces, organize seats. Opposite the kindergarten is a landscape area with observation platforms and treatment pools.
The territory including a floating infrastructure - small architectural objects on the water: exhibition platform, stage, playground. The dominant square in the eastern part is the youth zone, which is presented in the alley of different pavilions. In the western part of the square there is a scene on the water with an amphitheater built into the relief. Opposite the existing restaurant observation deck. The passage between the zones is carried out under the bridge, where the music venue is located.

Technical information

The inclusion of coastal territory in the citywide system of public recreational spaces, the formation of cultural and event zones ensure the interconnection of adjacent buildings, park zones and the embankment. The concept based on the history of the city, the individuality of the place, as well as based on the existing planning system.
