Project idea

Through the existing heavy laboratory building, three vertical surfaces connect between the campus buildings to create a connecting factor between students, faculty members, and visitors of all faculties.

The laboratory building serves as an anchor in the project and its replanning offers a shared and diverse student experience by using a multilevel system that allows eye and physical connection between the different activities in the building. The building is reused for the well-being of the students. The surfaces that are added on top of it allow a passageway between the surrounding buildings and they inhabit general functions that serve all, such as cafes, offices, and more. The courtyard is also replanned to create a variety of shared outdoor spaces.

Reuse of the laboratory building with three vertical surfaces that connect all the campus buildings and create a shared and connecting space in the heart of the campus.

reuse of the laboratory building interior while keeping most of its facade and column construction. adding multiple levels to its interior using the existing columns and light steel construction.
