Project idea

Mangrove forest ecotourism in Muara Village has the potential to be developed as a mangrove ecotourism area that can support the socio-economic life of communities affected by development projects as well as an effort to restore conservation tourism to mangrove protected forest ecosystems that have been planned by the government. Therefore, mangrove ecotourism in Muara Village needs to be developed into environmentally sound management.

Project description

Location : Muara Village, Tangerang, Banten
Site Area : 2,5 ha

Technical information

1. Minimize existing interventions (landscapes) on the site in the form of coastal land and most of the waters planted with mangroves, namely by:
• Do not cut down mangroves, if they reduce it, it is necessary to replace them in buildings using a solid void design strategy.
• Expansion of the existing land according to its spatial function without reducing or adding backfill.
• Using stilt structures with low to medium depth,
2. Efficient use of building and supporting materials
3. Water conservation efforts in the area
4. Treat and manage waste on site as an effort to protect the environment and improve the regional economy
5. Minimize the use of electrical energy to meet the needs of user activities in the area
6. Creating an arrangement of building masses and circulation in the area that is interactive, informative, and has the impression of giving a "space" experience in the mangrove conservation environment as a tourism and educational effort simultaneously in one place.
