Project idea

What is the true culture in Taiwan? No one can define it. This situation causes Taiwanese and people around less understanding of Taiwan. About 80% of foreigners in Taiwan are short-traveler. According to big data analysis, it is found that Taiwan's most diverse place: the most traditional + modern + living places and tourist hotspots are mutually exclusive. This is one of the reasons why Taiwanese culture can not be broadcast out around the world.

Project description

The design is an application-combined building, using the media combination of tourists and local residents so that tourists can be exposed to the most Taiwanese culture.

Each Taiwaneses can be local guides so tourists can get the information, which is really close to Taiwanese’s life. Furthermore, both of them can get bonus from this application by going to un-tourist hot spots, trying goods from Taiwanese businesses, guiding tourists, sharing pictures to other social media, etc. After tourists go back to their own countries, can they see what's going on in Taiwan by application, once they miss Taiwan.

Tourists and local guides will meet at Shuanglian station, which is the most diverse and cultural place representing Taiwan. The pictures can be broadcasted on the facade of the architecture. All people near here can see the pictures floating in the sky without barriers, and thus it attracts people to here. The program ranges from traditional markets to sky pool bars, which attract each generation to here. People can do whatever they want to represent Taiwanese culture for tourists. Accordingly, it becomes the Taiwan Image Gallery in the end.

While promoting Taiwanese culture internationally, it also reveals the worldview of Taiwanese people. Finally, Taiwanese culture is carried forward.
