Project idea

The leaf balancing on the edge.

Project description

This mountain lodge is located at 1,400 meters above sea level.
It serves as a shelter and prospect for the bravest mountaineers.
It is not easy to get to places where it is located and therefore has a simple shape and small size. The whole form is inspired by a twisted sheet balancing high on the edge of the cliff.
It has its back and front, and in places it is visible vein.
Corten's cloak changes its color as fallen leaves over the course of months.
The wind is blowing through the lookout that is made up of a steel truss.
Snows melt and wind blows.
But the leaf does not blow out of the fjord.

Technical information

The viewpoint is make of steel lattice. On it are placed 25 mm OSB boards
joined with steel plates and screws. As a coat serves corten cloak th. 3 mm. There is a steel railing for safety with net strings.
