The design site is located near to a tectonic fault of two plates.
Due to the glass observation window, visitors can go through two plates with an overview of the surroundings, as well as they can glimpse inside the gorge.
Two bridges from the northern and southern parts, as well as a walking route in the eastern part of the site, will allow you to enjoy the view of the rocks and relief

Project description

We have divided two tourist routes. We equipped a pavilion with changing rooms, a shower, and an instructor's rooms for a comfortable swimming in the Kvennagya cave.
Anyone, who wish to explore Karlagya Cave, can visit the historicall gallery in the visitor center. Moreover, for a comfortable waiting there is a recreation area with panoramic windows in front of the entrance to the gorge. We also made an office workplace eqiupped for one person, combined with an information desk, and cafe-bar for several seats.
You can climb to the observation tower and literally feel the full power of this place, looking from the top of the tower. The tower also serves as a landmark in the area, it is illuminated in the evening.

Technical information

The green roof filters the rainwater and supplies the whole building with water.
Transparent solar panels, according to the innovative UbiQD system (USA), are mounted directly into the facade of the building and at first glance it may seem as ordinary glass.
UbiQD panels combine two commonly competing attributes: high light transmission and high efficiency. For example, panels do not just collect sunlight and convert it into electricity. They transmit up to 43% of visible light inside buildings, so they basically perform the same task as windows.
Improvement of public services
We provided a tourist route. It is a winding mesh paths over the relief, which allows you to fully enjoy the nature.
There are also public terrace with a warm hearth, sun loungers and seating.
Interior
in the center for visitors there is a gallery, on the walls of which photographs of the area and interesting facts for visitors will be placed
in front of the entrance to the gorge for exploring the area, there is a recreation area with panoramic windows for viewing the surroundings and comfortable waiting
Pinhole camera
For people with limited mobility, we have provided an obscura camera in our project, thanks to which there is no need to climb to the very top of the tower, since a breathtaking view is projected onto a plane inside the visitor center using a system of mirrors.
