Willamette Social Housing project is aiming to create a sustainable transitional house for the local homeless people. I did research and analysis the population and condition of local homeless. Many homeless people were seeking to the shelters at the same they need social contact. In addition, many of them have learning and working ability.
My design was conducted based on my research. The highlight of the project is providing users with diverse public spaces including roof farm, public kitchen, public restroom, children library and learning space, which are built to facilitate all residents' social wellbeing.
The main structure of the building uses reinforced concrete materials. On the premise of ensuring ventilation and heat preservation, the building provides living space for more residents on a given site area.
