The idea of the marine biology and aquarium museum is inspired by the sea waves, two waves, calm and strong waves. Where the calm waves are a mass of calm activities, and the strong wave is a mass of strong activities. The project follows the deconstructive architecture style to understand the relationship between text and meaning. This design turned to the approach of the streamlined organic form. The current project is entertaining and educational, as the ground floor contains several surprises, passing through the large fishponds and rare fish found in Yemen. Then the great Amazon dome, which is the lung of the project, and another dome is the educational planetarium, in addition to the 7D entertainment theater, and then the polar animals and dolphins, while the first floor contains educational classrooms and laboratories for scientific research.
Yemen is characterized by its beautiful geographical location on the coasts of the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. Therefore it has an excellent marine wealth of different types of fish, in addition to the availability of suitable geographical areas along the coastal strip in the main cities, but it lacks the marine biology and aquarium museums projects that can be an important tourist and economic destination. Through this project, the available spaces on the coastal strip will be used to provide and display marine life and provide an educational and research center that serves many residents in Yemen and the countries bordering the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. In addition to being a place of entertainment for all segments of society.
The techniques used in the construction of the project are steel structure and concrete veneer in the ceilings. And the opaque glass in the dome of the theater, and the techniques used in the theater are 7D and hologram.
