Innovation Centre STU Bratislava

Project idea

The main concept of this project is the conversion of the old Heavy Laboratory object into Innovation center. The old building is preserved and enhanced by its new part with the center.

Project description

This project is based in Bratislava technical University campus. The project concerns recovery of the courtyard, surroundings of the Uni, connections between faculties and new innovation center.

Technical information

Three floors of the old Heavy Labs are preserved and three new floors are added also with new six floor building. Around the whole building are designed balconies, thanks to which the passage through the courtyard is much easier. Balconies are lined with perforated metal sheet. The center is connected to the faculties by metal footbridges. There are exhibition and presentation spaces, administration, innovation center, labs, canteen and on the last level is roof terrace with café.
