Project idea

The idea of the project is to design a sort of educational centre combined with a visitors centre that is home to the forest of Avon trust, a charity that helps plant trees around the areas of Bristol and expanding further to the surrounding cities.

Project description

The solution to the project is using the concept of trees, a leaf to be specific and based on that create the plan inspired by the Fibonacci sequence to create a design that follows the brief locating of rooms alongside bringing nature inside by orientating the building so that the most active rooms face south hence gain the most amount of light.

Technical information

The building, following the vision of Avon trust, is designed with CLT boards and curtain walls held by columns to hold up the roofs with beams holding the sawtooth roof.
