Project idea

The main function of the building is to organize comedy events and concerts in the city, as well as to provide a space for local comedians where they can create and work. Located in the historical center of the city of Krasnodar, the two-story building perfectly fits into the architectural context. Several colleges and a Youth Theater are located nearby, which makes this place a center of attraction for young people.

Project description

The building serves not only as a concert venue, but also as a place for coming up with ideas, rehearsals and acting circles. Therefore, the lobby divides the building into two parts: concert and club. The concert part includes an auditorium for 200 people, dressing rooms and a place for artists to relax. Large audiences for classes and coworking of comedians are added to the club zone. The lobby itself has a recreation area and a small coffee shop for club guests. In order for the parts to function independently, a separate additional entrance is provided to the working part. On each side there is an exit to the roof, where there is a platform for "open mics", where everyone can express themselves.

Technical information

The building is made of aged red brick of Flemish masonry and concrete slabs to fit into the architectural context of the area and at the same time look modern. The entrance is oriented to the north. A spiral staircase leads to the working part of the building and gives access to the roof. The large span of the auditorium is supported by the construction of trusses supported on columns of 500*500mm.
