Project idea

This project is designed to create a composition that brings clusters and hybrids into a pre-existing environment that result in the creation of a new setting of an environment/landscape. This is achieved through technical and material specificities, introducing new geometries and systems along with the utilization of environmental realities such as light, texture, depth of space and atmospheric qualities. These result in the creation of hybrid, layered and dynamic compositions. The compositions aim to merge two systems; one generated through a digital platform and the second one is an already existing environment.

Project description

This project is set in an underwater environment that sees the growth of architectural structures and objects over time creating a new landscape in the future underwater.

Technical information

The systems are created using digital media and composed in the pre-existing environment in the manner that they don’t read as sole objects but as structural systems that generate from water, giving a completely new reading of underwater due to the light and shadow qualities, depth of space and complex materiality and layering of the structural objects designed. These compositions were achieved using digital and analogue techniques by the utilization of different platforms to create the structural systems that are then composed in an environment using specific techniques using software’s such as Adobe Photoshop, Zbrush, Autodesk Maya and Houdini.
