Project idea

Istanbul's Bakırköy district has always been one of the modern centers of
the city. Started with the idea of designing a technology high school that
will be compatible with the modern face of Bakırköy. It was aimed to
make an introverted design as one of the needs of a school complex.
Three structures were created to draw another border to the D-100,
Ayamama River and high density residential and commercial structure,
which are the boundaries of the area for the introverted space. It was
intended to create a living cou intended to create a living courtyard (Agora) in the middle of these three structures and design it in such a way that students would want to spend time outside of class time. Path which is on courtyard to support the idea of a technology school, shaped by pixel form and guiding with colors.

Project description

Path with Formed Pixsel Texture designed for to support the idea of a technology school, shaped by pixel form and guiding with colors. Yellow color directs to the building including conference hall, refectory and teacher’s rooms. Red color directs to the building including the sport court and multipurpose hall for events. The blue color directs to the building with ateliers, library and classes. Roof and Sunshading created for creat whole
effect in 3 unit and more livable courtyard. Also colored Stairs and circulation elements colored in the same language with courtyard ground to continue the guiding idea with color. The Pixsel pavillon in courtyard for screening, ateliers or other events.

Technical information

Whole structural system is steel structure. With gridal steel strutural system supported gridal texture and tectonic narrative. Also with movable sunshading facade elements due to the changing angles of the sun during the day time, people can draw to moving panels acoording to their needs
