This project aims to provide a temporary hotel to address the social and psychological issues of homeless and previous incarcerated single parents. They are going to live in there for 3 months before they go back to the society. They will not only live here, but also be assigned different jobs to keep the building going.
The Box World is a temporary hotel that created by the idea of sharing community. By using different types of movable furniture, the inhabitants can live and work outside the room, working and playing together with their neighbors to enhance the communication between them, let them not be afraid to get along with people, not feel lonely when they go back to the society.
Every movable furniture (the moving "box") is made by wood, they all have wheels underneath them to support and get them move. Movable furniture have solar panels to absorb daylight, allowing them to be used outdoor at night, minimize energy consumption. The inhabitants' jobs include rainwater collection, hydroponic farm, and decompose garbage. They can take care of their children while working, and their children can also learn about ecological protection from this.
