The idea is to make a space, that makes us want to talk about what is the meaning of beauty. By showcasing objectively beautiful materials like marble with materials that are usually considered ugly, eg. old, cracked plaster.
The interior of the clinic is supposed to open up for conversation about the meaning of beauty. The materials used in this project are considered classic and beautiful: marble, ash wood, linen. But they are contrasted with materials from the opposite side of the spectrum, eg. old, cracked plaster. The walls are decorated with graphics of close ups from Flemish portraits, since the standards of beauty have changed since then. This brings up the perspective on what's beauty and how it changes during the years that go by
XIX- century villa located in Szczecin in green neighbourhood of Pogodno. The villa is carefully renovated with close cooperation with the restorer, to showcase natural, cracked plaster that became visible over the years, while preserving ceiling moldings and as much original elements as possible
