Project idea

REGEN BOII (Barrio Oeste II Tucumán - Argentina)
It is a project of urban regeneration of a neighborhood of collective social housing, which aims to provide sustainable, functional and evolutionary urban and architectural solutions in order to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.
It invites us to reflect on the architectural work, the intervention on what exists and on the future of current infrastructures and how these factors intervene in the sustainability of the city.

Es un proyecto de regeneración urbana de un barrio de vivienda social colectiva, que tiene como objetivo proporcionar soluciones urbanas y arquitectónicas sustentables, funcionales y evolutivas con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes.
Invita a reflexionar sobre el hacer arquitectónico, la intervención sobre lo existente y sobre el futuro de las infraestructuras actuales y como estos factores intervienen en la sustentabilidad de la ciudad.

Project description

The magnitude of the neighborhood implies proposing solutions to different problems at all their scales.
This is how, from the urban scale to the architectural scale, we propose a SYSTEM of four types of interventions:
A) Urban corridor as a suture element of the city
B) Cultural Park as an urban restructuring operation
C) System of squares that implies neighborhood interconnection
D) Expansions of housing blocks, attending to the needs of the user and the family

La magnitud del barrio implica proponer soluciones a los diferentes problemas en todas sus escalas.
Así es como, desde la escala urbana hasta la escala arquitectónica proponemos un SISTEMA de cuatro tipos de intervenciones:
A) Corredor urbano como elemento de sutura de la ciudad
B) Parque Cultural como operación de reestructuración urbana
C) Sistema de plazas que implica la interconexión barrial
D) Expansiones de bloque de viviendas, atendiendo a las necesidades del usuario y la familia
