THE MAIN IDEA OF THE PROJECT IS TO WORK WITH A TRADITIONAL URBAN BUILDING ELEMENT - THE BLOCK - WHICH IS NEWLY INTERPRETED AND REACTS ON THE PUBLIC MOVEMENT. THE BLOCK IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND THAT CREATES AN INNER PUBLIC SQUARE WHICH IS WELL CONNECTED WITH THE CITY AND THE NATURE.
THE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL CENTER IS LOCATED AT AN IMPORTANT POINT IN THE NEW GREEN-GRID CITY, IT CONNECTS THE CITY WITH NATURE. AT THE SAME TIME IT BECOMES THE NEW SYMBOL OF AN ENTRANCE
GATE OF THE NEWLY CREATED CITY-PART OF PRAGUE.
THE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL CENTER IS WELL CONNECTED BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTSYSTEMS, INDIVIDUAL TRAFFIC, ON FOOT AND BY BICYCLE.
THE SPACE BETWEEN THE THREE BUILDINGS OF THE CENTER – THE LIBRARY, THE GALLERY AND THE CONCERT HALL – AND THE ADJACENT SCHOOL WILL RECEIVE THE ROLLE AS A DISSEMINATING KNOWLEDGE SPOT OF ALL GENERATIONS. THE CAFE, THE RESTAURANTS, THE NUMEROUS SEATING POSSIBILITIES, AND A SMALL WATER-PLAY VALUE THE SQUARE, IN ADDITION, THE DIRECT CONNECTION TO NATURE MAKES THE PLACE TO AN INTERESTING LEISURE MEETING POINT.
IN ORDER TO FEEL THE CONCEPT OF THE UNIFORM BLOCK AS A VISITOR, THE FACADES ARE UNIFORMALLY HELD IN WHITE GRAY CONCRETE. THE MATERIAL CONCRETE ALSO STRENGTHS THE COMMON IDENTITY OF THE COMPLEX.
IN ORDER TO OBTAIN FREEDOM IN THE GROUNDPLANS, A SKELETON STRUCTURE WAS SELECTED THROUGHOUT THE UNDERGROUND PARKING UP TO THE TOP FLOORS.
