Space analysis
Our first task was to analyse the existing house. We could have chosen any building, but it would have been better if it was a space we were familiar with.
For the analysis I chose my grandmothers house
my grandmother's and my grandfather's
which is located in Kazakhstan. The construction of the house was
a long time ago, but it has not yet been completed.
completed. Now my relatives are only using one floor of the house in the tower. I chose this house for analysis because it seemed to me that there are many things in it that can be polished. In the course of the analysis, I changed a few things that seemed illogical to me, to clarify
I refined the graphics and learned a lot of new information.
During the analysis I identified several bots that I worked with later:
"The basement apartment is practically unused because the house is not finished.
The house is not finished. It seemed to me that the rooms on this floor were a bit illogically arranged, so I changed and added some rooms.
"With the doors I wanted to make the living room get more light from other rooms.
"I made the kitchen exit to the garden to make the view from the window more interesting and also to ensure that more light comes into the room.
" Now there is a staircase inside the house that is built on the outside. The staircase inside the house is not used. I have removed the staircase from the outside
and I also removed the main entrance in front of the building because we have to go around the whole house to get inside.
"On the first floor I have divided one bedroom into a hallway and an office, so that the house can be worked in and so that there is a more secure entrance to the house from the main facade.
"I have provided a bathroom on the first floor, because now the bathroom is only on the lower floor, which makes it not very convenient to get to the bathroom from the bedroom.
In the second task we worked with bricks and made compositions on various abstract themes. I found this task very unusual. In this way I managed to find several interesting Yeaen of my compositions. I created compositions on the themes of dynamics, defense, symmetry, chaos, vortex and threat.
"Dynamics
Even things that seem static to us are never at rest. Life around us is subject to some kind of movement. The idea behind this composition is that
is that the tilting elements seem to allow movement of even the most monolithic and static objects.
"Chaos
Chaos is the absence of any order. But in some
there may be a moment in time when, in this chaos
in this chaotic space, there may be a moment of balance.
"Symmetry
When we see something that is symmetrical, for
it doesn't seem boring and simple, but under certain
symmetry can also be interesting and multifaceted.
"Defence
In this composition, the vertical and horizontal blocks create the feeling that they are protecting whoever is in their midst. A comparison can be made with a child for whom the parents are
The child is such a protection.
"Threat
I imagine some objects hanging over us as a threat. For example, a person who has never been surrounded by tall buildings in a metropolis may feel uncomfortable in such an environment. Moreover, a shaded
part of my composition creates a feeling of tension and fear.
"Vortex
Buddhists believe in rebirth and the cycle of life. We overcome difficulties by climbing the stairs and reaching the top, and at the end of our journey we fall down and beyond
we start from the top
the beginning.
Addition and subtraction
For the third task we analyzed existing buildings and compositions based on the principle of addition and subtraction. Then we used these techniques to invent our own compositions. When looking for ideas, I was inspired by natural and
man-made forms. At the end we tried to transform the resulting composition into space and imagine how it could look inside. I drew several plans and created a model of the composition.
Subtraction is a way to create a volumetric composition from
by subtracting different forms from the basin shape.
The China Central Television Building in Beijing is shaped like two connected L-shaped towers. It offers a floor area of 473,000 meters.
tvere
floor space. It has 234 subways and 51 floors.
At first glance, this shape looks quite complex, but after a detailed analysis we can see that it is constructed quite simply, but also very interesting. The form of the building comes from the form
of a deep regular pyramid, and then we go from
from the remaining form of the two truncated cones and we get the shape of the building.
Addition is a way to create a spatial composition by adding the other elements to the original shape to get a more complex shape.
The Contemporary Art Center is an art gallery where the
where contemporary artists can exhibit their work. The building has a modern and minimalist shape, which corresponds to the main function of the building. The minimalism of the building is furthermore expressed by the colours used on the facades. The main element of the composition here is
The black block is the main element of the composition, the other blocks support this block. It seems to me that this building is a great combination of colours and materials, creating a common
an unusual and modern look to this building.
Only some elements of the composition have a regular shape. Some of the blocks are shaped differently than the rectangle, as if they create a dynamic silhouette of the building and seem to move forward into the future. I assume that the idea of dynamic composition is connected with art, that it seems to try to move forward and discover new talents and forms.
The building is designed according to the principle of addition. It can be easily broken down into separate elements, some blocks have a regular shape, some are slightly deformed, giving the impression of a dynamic composition. Despite the relatively complex shape of the building, all elements are also harmoniously arranged inside, there are all the necessary spaces.
In the early stages of my search for the myalenka I was inspired by existing building compositions and abstract compositions. I first tried to work with the cube shape and looked for different ways to create new forms by adding and subtracting
by taking different shapes. This method didn't quite work, however, because I couldn't express certain
and so I decided to change my approach to the development of the composition.
I decided to take inspiration from some existing and well-known forms. I was very interested in the shape of the track.
It seems to me that it is a very powerful form and symbol with a deep meaning. Besides, it is known that the forms created by nature are balanced and graceful and this form is no exception. On the one hand it means sustainability, on the other hand it is a symbol of heritage, of history. What is also interesting in this shape is that one central shape flows seamlessly into the other and the fingers seem to create a far accent on the larger elements of the whole form. The principle of the main form is at work, supported by other, less significant and lesser forms. I have tried to transform this form in various ways to make interesting compositions
Yeaenia.
I tried different ways to use the shape of the track to find interesting spatial Yeaenia. From
At first I worked with the shape as if it were above ground level, while
I forgot that form is a kind of flood from
from the form, for example on snow or sand. I tried to change the approach and find a different Yeaeni. As a result, I came to the conclusion that this shape can be used not only to create the shape of a building, for example a gallery or a museum, but it could also be a park or an amphitheatre.
Along with the shape of the footprint, I also came up with a different composition that I found a bit more interesting to work with than the previous shape. In searching for it, I tried to be inspired not only by forms created by nature, but also by things created by
hunter. I was interested in the shape of the sea knot. I came across it by chance, but I immediately had a pretty clear idea of how I would like to see this shape. The knot marks
The knot represents the connection between
of it, of strength. On the other hand, as I found out later, it's quite easy to get a form of infinite
which gives it new meanings and new possibilities.
In this form I was very interested in the movement that could be created in it. I wanted to do it in such a way that the movement for
to start in one place and end
so that at the same time we can walk around and see the whole space from the outside. This is a very interesting concept for a gallery or a shopping mall, for example, where the main goal is to
the hunter spends as much time as possible in this place
time. That's why you don't find watches in shopping malls, by the way. The meaning of the form also fits very ironically with the concept of a shopping mall - to take you out of reality and into shopping and entertainment and to create a desire to stay there as long as possible.
The shape of the building is formed according to two principles at once, addition and subtraction. One form flows seamlessly into the other and is supported by the forms that flow from it.
In creating a small concept of the interior space I drew on the work of Jan Kaplický and the structures he used to create the unusual shapes of his buildings. If my composition were to become a building, the most correct option would be to use a steel skeleton system on which the building envelope would be laid. For example, Zaha Hadid's Heydar Aliyev Center was built according to a similar principle. I divided the interior space so that the movement of the form inside
the first floor, then we could get to the second floor at one point, go around it completely and come down to another point to complete
to complete the journey inside the building and return to the starting point. In addition, on the second floor we could see the area around the building.
