Project description

ROBO Đ CITY

In the period between the static bridges, there is probably a change in the structure. Today, the clamps are faster than ever and the clamps meet our requirements. But what would a city look like that has its own environment and is able to respond to external stimuli? The city as a living organism, adaptation in the environment, evolution in the world of robots. Origin, growth and disappearance. Dynamically changing city and its 'part' in space, time on the basis of changing parameters. Universal energy and information with the environment.

As it has already been indicated, the aim is to create an urban structure that evolves dynamically and shrinks in space and time in relation to the conditions. The emergence of an emergent urban structure growing according to given rules and given environment. The rules and living conditions are changing over time, also in terms of social, demographic, cultural, ecological, industrial, climatic and other aspects.

How can this be manifested in concrete terms? For example, the size and number of housing units will dynamically change in response to the need for family size.

How do we do this? The possibility of modularity and flexibility of cells as units is synergistically related to the core of the load-bearing, communication and energy pillars for the cells.

On the basis of research and studies, we have developed an algorithm which we are now implementing. This algorithm generates an urban structure according to rules that we can only modify. The different areas have different properties and interact with each other.

And where? Ostrava Đ Halda Hrabóvka. It is a 97 ha site located in the south of Ostrava. The mine was used to remove waste, mainly slag, from the V'tkovice ironworks. The heap has now been reclaimed and restored to its full capacity.
