The aim of my work is an urbanistic and architectural study of a specific form of housing - sheltered housing in Kocianka in Brno.
I propose to build a building for housing adult clients on the southern slope of the area. The proximity of the site to the edge of the land and therefore the proximity of the surroundings offers the possibility to open the housing towards the city, which supports the removal of the barrier between sheltered housing - and standard housing. This is matched by the ground floor parterre on the first floor, which presents the possibility for clients to work, for example, in the form of a sheltered workshop. A shop connected to the sheltered workshop or a café also connects the clients' lives with the public.
The residential part of the building consists of three categories of flats, which are divided according to the level of need for assistance of the clients.
In total, the building has all variants of apartment capacities for one to six persons.
The first category consists of clients with disabilities without mental retardation.
The clients are independent, needing only assistance. They live alone, so the apartments do not need a room for a worker. Clients in this category are comfortable with the layout of all the proposed flats. For this category, a studio and a couple's flat, which are located above the underpass on the fourth and fifth floors, are specially considered.
The second category of clients are people with disabilities and mental retardation. For this category I have designed shared flats for 3 to 6 people. These flats are located on each residential floor. The clients need constant supervision. The layout includes a worker's room, which is located either within the apartment or between two housing units.
The third category consists of clients with autism spectrum disorder. For this category, a shared apartment for 6 people with a worker's room and an extra room is designed.
In addition to the couple's section, each client is assured a high level of privacy with their own room and private balcony. The shared part of the apartment consists of a central living room connected to the kitchen and dining room, from where the residents have access to a spacious terrace. Sliding perforated panels are used as screening for the terrace and balconies.
Each of the apartments accommodates wheelchair accessible living. The layout includes two rooms for storage and maintenance of wheelchairs, connected to the utility room.
The first floor opens out onto the street and helps to connect the clients' lives with the public.
In the centre of the layout there is a sheltered workshop, which is also accessible to people from outside the premises. The capacity of the workshop is 16 people. It includes a spacious terrace to make working time more pleasant.
The workshop is connected by a corridor to the shop, accessible from the newly proposed car park.
Between the workshop and the shop I propose a laundry room, also accessible to people from the outside.
To the west of the workshop, there is a section dedicated to the public in the form of a café and another lettable space that is open to a wide range of uses.
Each part of the floor, with its different uses for clients, represents a work opportunity.

The main staircases of the building are accessible from the entrances on Křížikova Street, thus I created a fire escape route.
The outdoor space in front of the building is a large pedestrian area, which is complemented by parking spaces and an avenue of trees that divide it from the Křížikova Street roadway.

Structurally, the building consists of ceramic blocks. The ceilings are monolithic reinforced concrete. The façade consists of white external plaster, which is supplemented from a height of 5 metres with larch cladding. The windows and doors are plastic. The windows and doors of the ground floor will be made to measure. The roof is flat, the roof covering will be made up of a pair of asphalt strips.

Cieľom mojej práce je urbanisticko architektonická štúdia špecifickej formy bývania - chráneného bývania na Kociánke v Brne.
Objekt pre bývanie dospelých klientov navrhujem postaviť na južnom svahu areálu. Blízkosť miesta pri okraji pozemku a teda i blízkosť okolia skýta možnosť otvoriť bývanie smerom do mesta, čo podporuje odstránenie bariéry medzi bývaním chráneným - a bývaním štandardným. S tým súladí parter v prvom nadzemnom podlaží, ktorý pre klientov predstavuje možnosť práce napríklad formou chránenej dielne. Život klientov s verejnosťou spája i predajňa prepojená s chránenou dielňou, či kaviareň.
Obytná časť objektu pozostáva z troch kategórií bytov, ktoré sú rozdelené podľa miery potreby pomoci klientov.
Celkovo sa v objekte nachádzajú všetky varianty kapacít bytov pre jednu až šešť osôb.
Prvú kategóriu tvoria klienti so zdravotným postihnutím bez mentálnej retardácie.
Klienti sú samostatní, potrebujú iba výpomoc. Bývajú sami, byty teda nepotrebujú miestnosť pre pracovníka. Klientom tejto kategórie vyhovuje dispozícia všetkých navrhnutých bytov. Pre túto kategóriu je zvlášť mienená garsoniéra a byt pre pár, ktoré sa nachádzajú nad podchodom na štvrtom a piatom nadzemnom podlaží.
Druhá kategória klientov sú ľudia so zdravotným postihnutím i mentálnou retardáciou. Pre túto kategóriu som navrhla zdieľané byty pre 3 až 6 osôb. Tieto byty sa nachádzajú na každom obytnom podlaží. Klienti potrebujú stály dohľad. Súčasťou dispozície je miestnosť pre pracovníka, ktorá je umiestnená buď v rámci bytu, alebo medzi dvomi bytovými jednotkami.
Tretiu kategóriu tvoria klienti s poruchou autistického spektra. Pre túto kategóriu je navrhnutý zdieľaný byt pre 6 osôb s miestnosťou pre pracovníka a extra miestnosťou.
Okrem časti pre pár má každý klient zabezpečenú vysokú mieru súkromia vlastnou izbou a vlastným balkónom. Spoločnú časť bytu tvorí centrálna obývacia izba spojená s kuchyňou a jedálňou, odkiaľ majú obyvatelia prístup na priestrannú terasu. Ako tienenie terasy a balkónov sú použité posuvné perforované panely.
Každý z bytov vyhovuje bezbariérovému bývaniu. Súčasťou dispozície sú dve miestnosti pre skladovanie a údržbu invalidných vozíkov, spojené s technickou miestnosťou.
Prvé nadzemné podlažie sa otvára smerom do ulice a napomáha prepojeniu života klientov s verejnosťou.
V centre dispozície sa nachádza chránená dielňa, ktorá je prístupná i pre osoby mimo areálu. Kapacita dielne je 16 osôb. Jej súčasťou je priestranná terasa pre spríjemnenie pracovného času.
Dielňa je chodbou prepojená s predajňou, prístupnou z novo navrhovaného parkoviska.
Medzi dielňou a predajňou navrhujem práčovňu, tiež prístupnú ľuďom zvonka.
Na západ od dielne je časť určená pre verejnosť vo forme kaviarne a ďalšieho prenajímateľného priestoru, ktorý je otvorený širokej škále možností využitia.
Každá časť podlažia s rôznym využitím pre klientov predstavuje pracovnú príležitosť.

Zo vstupov z ulice Křížikova sú prístupné hlavné schodiská objektu, čím som vytvorila požiarnu únikovú trasu.
Vonkajši priestor pred objektom predstavuje rozmernú pešiu časť, ktorá je doplnená parkovacími miestami a alejou stromov, ktoré ju rozdelia od cestnej komunikácie ulice Křížikova.

Konštrukčne objekt pozostáva z keramických tvárnic. Stropy sú monolitické železobetónové. Fasádu tvorí biela vonkajšia omietka, ktorá je od výšky 5 metrov doplnená smrekovcovým obkladom. Okná a dvere plastové. Okná a dvere parteru budú vyrobené na mieru. Strecha je plochá, strešná krytina bude tvorená dvojicou asfaltových pásov.
