"The house starting from elements", but also "continuing and ending". One element from Rem Koolhaas' book Elements of architecture became my inspiration for the design of my house.
The first step was an analysis, which helped me to clarify what element I would be working with - what it is and what its possibilities are. In the next phase, when it came to applying the knowledge from the book to the design of an indeterminate house, another motif emerged that influenced my work. It was the relationships and communication between the elements. How do you work with them, how do you link them together and how do they influence each other? What weight should they have in the overall morphology of the building?
This is why I expanded the title of the theme to include "continuing and ending", as I interpret its meaning to mean that my design should not only build on the chosen element, but also treat and "meet" it.
But how to make the house stand on one element only? How to make it stand out at the expense of the others? How to make the floor the only element that shapes the building and neglects the others? And is that even possible?
Many questions came up during the work, but I'm not sure I was able to answer them objectively.

Prvním krokrem byla analýza, díky které jsem si ujasnil s jakým elementem budu pracovat – čím je a jaké má možnosti. V další fázi, kdy přišlo na řadu uplatňování poznatků z knihy, v rámci návrhu neurčitého domu, se objevil další motiv, který mou práci ovlivňoval. Byly jím vztahy a komunikace mezi jednotlivými elementy. Jak s nimi pracovat, jak je vzájemně provazovat a jak se vzájemně ovlivňují? Jakou mají mít váhu v celé morfologii budovy?
Právě proto jsem název tématu rozšířil o „continuing and ending“, neboť jeho smysl interpretuji tak, že má můj návrh ze zvoleného elementu nejen vycházet, ale má s ním i zacházet a “scházet“.
Jak ale docílit toho, aby dům stál jen a právě na jednom elementu? Jak ho vyzdvihnout na úkor ostatních? Co udělat, aby podlaha byla jediným prvkem, který formuje stavbu a upozaďuje ty ostatní? A je to vůbec možné?
Během práce se objevilo mnoho otázek, ale nejsem si jistý, zda jsem na ně dokázal objektivně odpovědět.
