Two objects, two principles, two locations. Loam, the first principle – a narrow private house in the gap with three floors. Glass, the second principle – a small shelter located on an open pasture.
HLÍNA / LOAM
In this project, I designed a house which contains properties of the loam: layers, depth. The main idea of the project is using the principle of layers and light upwards. This indicates the disposition and operation of the house. The emphasis is on privacy. The privacy is important and needed on such a small plot.
SKLO / GLASS
A small shelter is located on an elevated open space in nature, so it offers picturesque views: nature, sunset and memorable tree. The object should connect people with these views. Inside, you feel like outside, in the nature. You can clearly see the surroundings, you feel the connection. From the outside to inside, you see a reflection of the landscape in the glass.
The dominance of the house in the gap is concrete and wooden elements. The shelter has a steel structure and wooden paneling of raw spruce wood. The windows are made of polycarbonate boards.
