TASK
The brief of the competition was to design a kindergarten for the outskirts of Šidlovec
in Prešov. In recent years, the urban district has been experiencing an increase in population,
mostly young families. The only public space is a plot of land where
currently houses a sports ground and a children's playground. In the immediate neighbourhood there is an asylum
house and a low development of family houses.

The nearest kindergarten is located at a distance of 1.5 km from the plot and its
capacity is insufficient.

CONCEPT
Playfulness, nature, freedom. The starting point was not to create a kindergarten with a playground, but
but one that would be a playground in itself. The aim is to design an environment that is
stimulating for children.

DRAFT
The house is located on the outskirts of the site, which allows for the retention of the existing
multifunctional playground. The plan trapezoidal shape follows the tavr of the plot. The house is
low-rise with a raised volume above the amphitheatre.

The given volumes create an atrium space which is separated from the garden by a pergola. The latter serves
as a kind of filter between the garden and the atrium, where it creates a sheltered space.

The space is divided into two zones - a staff zone, an operational zone and a children's zone.
Each has a separate entrance. The play areas create a variable space that can be used during the day
can change from a playroom to a sleeping area and vice versa. The main space
in the interior is the amphitheatre. It creates a multifunctional space for playing, reading, performing
and especially interaction between classes.

The kindergarten building is designed as a CLT panel building with exterior wooden
cladding. The interior is free of strong colour contrasts, accented only by coloured
chairs and children's toys.

ZADANIE
Zadaním súťaže bolo navrhnúť materskú školu pre okrajovú mestskú časť Šidlovec
v Prešove. V mestskej časti v posledných rokoch dochádza k nárastu počtu obyvateľov,
najčastejšie mladých rodín. Jediným verejným priestorom je riešená parcela, kde sa
v súčasnosti nachádza športové ihrisko a detské ihrisko. V tesnom susedstve je azylový
dom a nízka zástavba rodinných domov.

Najbližšia materská škola sa nachádza vo vzdialenosti 1,5 km od riešenej parcely a jej
kapacita je nedostačujúca.

KONCEPT
Hravosť, príroda, voľnosť. Východiskom nebolo vytvoriť škôlku s detským ihriskom, ale
takú, ktorá by ihriskom bola sama o sebe. Cieľom je navrhnúť prostredie, ktoré je
podnetné pre deti.

NÁVRH
Dom sa nachádza v okrajovej časti parcely, čo umožňuje zachovanie stávajúceho
multifunkčného ihriska. Pôdorysný lichobežníkový tvar kopíruje tavr parcely. Dom je
nízkopodlažný s vyvýšeným objemom nad amfiteátrom.

Dané objemy vytvárajú priestor átria, ktoré je pergolou oddelené od záhrady. Tá slúži
ako akýsi filter medzi záhradou a átriom, kde vytvára chránený priestor.

Priestor je rozdelený na dve zóny – zónu zamestnaneckú, prevádzkovú a zónu pre deti.
Každá ma samostatný vstup. Herne vytvárajú variabilný priestor, ktorý sa počas dňa
môže podľa potreby meniť z herne na spánkovú zónu a naopak. Hlavným priestorom
v interiéri je amfiteáter. Vytvára viacfunkčný priestor na hranie, čítanie, vystupovanie
a najmä interakciu medzi triedami.

Objekt škôlky je navrhnutý ako drevostavba z CLT panelov s exteriérovým dreveným
obkladom. Interiér je bez výrazných farebných kontrastov, akcentom sú len farbné
stoličky a detské hračky.
