Annotation
The building is located on Horní náměstí in Opava and is surrounded by a number of historical buildings such as the Hláska Town Hall, the Silesian Theatre and the Parish Church of the Assumption and other valuable historical buildings. The building should attract the attention of the passing citizens of the town, but not spoil the image of the surroundings. The idea of simplicity, minimalism, simplification was created here.
Placing a municipal library in this area would help to culturally enhance the site and complement the Silesian Theatre and the Hláska. It would also attract more students to the centre who pass through the square to go to school.
Bring new spaces to the town such as a gallery, restaurant, lecture hall, senior club, new spaces for retail opportunities.
There is a park in the inner block behind the square that, because of its location and bounded by buildings, is a meeting center for the city's troubled citizens (drug addicts, homeless). The park is hidden from the square due to the development of Slezanka and the desire was to reopen it to the citizens.
The building looks both presentable and playful. The change of light, the movements of the people and the events inside the building are inscribed on the facade in the form of milky glass, which dissolves the image and makes it look intimate. The citizens of the city can thus see what is going on inside in the evening. The façade is lined with columns that resemble books lined up on a shelf.

The main structural material is reinforced concrete with a rough finish, along with a coffered ceiling and a pitched roof. The interior is designed to be comfortable and airy for users. I chose pine wood, steel and glass.
The total usable area is 2640 m2.

Anotace
Objekt se nachází na Horním náměstí v Opavě a je obklopen řadou historických budov, jako je městská radnice Hláska, Slezské divadlo a farní kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie a dalších hodnotných historických staveb. Objekt by měl na sebe přilákat pozornost kolemjdoucích občanů města, ale nekazit obraz okolí. Vznikla zde myšlenka jednoduchosti, minimalismu, zjednodušení.
Umístění obecní knihovny do tohoto území by pomohlo kulturně posílit místo a doplnit tak Slezské divadlo a Hlásku. Taktéž by přilákalo do centra více studentů, kteří přes náměstí prochází do škol.
Přinést do města nové prostory, jako galerie, restaurace, přednáškový sál, klub seniorů, nové prostory pro možnosti obchodování.
Ve vnitro bloku za náměstím se nachází park, který je díky svému umístění a ohraničení budovami centrem setkávání se problémových občanů města (narkomani, bezdomovci). Park je kvůli zástavbě Slezanky schován před náměstím a přáním ho bylo znovu otevřít občanům.
Budova působí jak reprezentativně, tak hravě. Změna světla, pohyby lidí a události uvnitř budovy se propisují na fasádu v podobě mléčných skel, které obraz rozpouštějí a působí intimně. Občané města tak vidí ve večerních hodinách, co se uvnitř děje. Na fasádě je vytvořeno řádkování v podobě sloupů, které připomínají seřazené knihy v polici.

Hlavním konstrukčním materiálem je železový beton s povrchovou drsnou úpravou, spolu s kazetovým stropem a šikmou střechou. Interiér je navrhnut jako pohodlný a vzdušný pro uživatele. Zvolil jsem borovicové dřevo, ocel a sklo.
Celková užitná plocha činí 2640 m2.
