Handloom of bangladesh has it's own pride from the beginning. specially tangail handloom sharee is renowned worldwide. but now a days tangail handloom weavers are shifting their profession for various reason.
it is time to revive our heritage and tradition.

Here i got that opportunity to propose a better settlement and working facility for the handloom weavers of tangail. Where i have designed sustainable houses and workshop facilities and other facilities for their business development and increasing their production of handloom products ,where they will lead a secure life.

From the beginning of my design idea i thought to do -

Aims And Objectives

The main objective of this project would be to revive handloom through workshops, gallery and exhibitions, provide handloom design classes with training facilities and making a settlement for our weavers family. The project at end will be a place of amalgamation of various trade guilds distributed in Bangladesh and provide a platform for creative learning for people interested in handloom sector. This will also act as a community center to promote tourism as there will be a collection of Bangladeshi cultural traits.

Project description

Cultural heritage and is an essential element for a nation. Historically handloom has got its predominance and heritage in Bangladesh .a manpower of about one million weavers ,dyers, hand spinners , embroiders and allied artisans have been using their creative skills .This project HANDLOOM VILLAGE accommodating the weavers language is basically an interactive platform for the weavers community and in greater aspects for the entire country.to promote the development sustainability of the traditional textile and its products by creating a handloom settlement for the weavers of our country
Bangladesh handloom board declared the decision for making a place for all the handloom weavers and craftsman for a reviving our handloom industry and products and giving them a permanent settlement . according to the proposal of Bangladesh handloom board the site located at pathrail bazar ,Tangail.
